The Darke County General Health District was awarded a mosquito control grant through the Ohio EPA to conduct mosquito trapping during the summer. We trap, collect, and ship mosquitoes to the Ohio Department of Health for testing. Currently, only Culex sp. mosquitoes are being tested; specifically for West Nile Virus and La Crosse Encephalitis. Traps are being set in fourteen different locations around Darke County. A map of these traps can be found on our website. Keep safe this summer and contact us with any questions!
