The Darke County General Health District is excited to partner with Family Health, Wayne HealthCare, and Reid Hospital to get the Covid-19 vaccine out to the residents of Darke County. Please be patient as we work within Ohio Department of Health’s guidelines. The number of appointments each week will be determined by the number of doses the vaccine collaborative receives from the State. Below are the two options and instructions to have your name placed on the list.
Email: covidvaccine@familyhealthservices.org
Example: Name: James Smith Date of Birth: 1 26 1939 Phone number: 937-XXX-XXXX
Or Call 937-547-2399 and we will take your Name, Date of Birth, and telephone number and add you to the appropriate list.
Please note, we will call you at the number you give us for appointment time and date.
Vaccinations in Phase 1B are expected to begin the week of January 19. Governor DeWine announced a tiered system for
offering vaccinations to the estimated 2.2 million people who are eligible for the vaccine under this phase, beginning with those
who are 80 or older:
o The week of Jan. 19: Ohioans 80 years of age and older.
o The week of Jan. 25: Ohioans 75 years of age and older; those with severe congenital or developmental disorders.
o The week of Feb. 1: Ohioans 70 years of age and older; employees of K-12 schools that wish to remain or return to
in-person or hybrid models.
o The week of Feb. 8: Ohioans 65 years of age and older.
• When a new age group begins, vaccinations may not be complete for the previous age group. It will take a number of weeks to
distribute all of the vaccine given the limited doses available.
• Vaccines are in short supply in Ohio and across the country. County allocations are expected to be in the hundreds, not
thousands, as we begin vaccinating these Phase 1B populations in our area.
